    EME 5.5.2
WP 3.8 but had same issue with 3.7.1 before upgrading

The time field for an event:
    – is mandatory but should not be – many events do not have a time
    – uses 12h am/pm annotation instead of the date format set in WP.
    – defaults to current time and 1h duration. I can not think of any workflow where this is useful. It it must default to something, let it be noon (or even better, a user setting in the settings section).

Thanks again for a wonderful plugin.

Wrong plugin, you’re talking about “Events Manager”

Sorry about the confusion. I noted the wrong version number (from EM as you noted), but my issues actually ARE related to EME (but of course the version is 1.1.3).

    Ok then 🙂
    – time is not mandatory, you can leave it empty or set the end time the same as start time. The next version will also have a more easy setting for “all day”
    – time format: I use the WP time format everywhere (well, not really, but I try to detect if there’s the notation for 12 hour-setting in it), except when creating an event, where I used the WP locale settings (language). I now corrected this there as well, see http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/821571
    – default time: yeah, that’s going to be different for just about everybody. For now no general setting is provided here … feature request for this can be made at http://www.e-dynamics.be/bbpress
