Essential tool

I’ve been using Duplicator for years, to clone / backup / migrate websites. It’s often the first plugin I install on every new site.

A couple of things I learned to make the process go smoothly:

• use relative url’s for images and links when building the site – if you hardcode them, Duplicator will not replace them for you
• keep the installer.php together with the backup .zip – it has specific info for that specific backup (site name, etc.)
