EShop - change payment method per Zone (6 posts)

EShop does everything I need for a free shopping cart plugin, except the payment options.

I have set every country except Australia as "Zone 9", so when someone chooses a country other than Australia on the checkout page, I wish for the payment options (Paypal, Bank deposit) to be hidden & replaced with a simple message, explaining that I'll contact them within 24hrs with a quote & payment instructions.

And need to be sure it wont affect "download" purchases or the "Affiliate" plugin.

I don't know how hard it would be to do such a thing so any help or advice would be appreciated.

I'm sorry but what you describe is simply well outside the scope of the plugin. It was never designed to work like this.

oh.. well my other option is simply ask non-australian customers to select the cash option but would rather make it idiot-proof.

Any better ideas would be great...

Cart66 pro would be a good option since it can use aus post shipping rates, but i refuse to pay $80 & still be restricted to using it on 1 site only.

Since this would have to be dynamic, I can only suggest that you look into creating an add-on plugin that would hide the other payment options using jQuery. But, tbh, I'm not 100% convinced that we have all of the necessary hooks/filters in the core plugin to make this do-able.

so.. the plugin "eshop checkout dynamic states" could be modified to do the job?
Even a drop down box to select the payment method would be sufficient, where if country = zone 9, remove all options from the drop down box.

Not as far as I'm aware but then that's not ours. It's been developed by one of eShop's community developers. I'd suggest contacting him about it.
