[resolved] eshop base rate for shipping (5 posts)

I am using eshop, with the shipping method 1. What I am wondering is, where can I tweak the code so that if someone orders between 1 and 100 units the shipping is the same (eg. $15.00 total) and if they order more than 100 the shipping per piece goes up? So it would basically be the same as method 1, but wouldn't start adding the price per piece until the 101 piece mark was hit.

That's not possible using method 1. Try using method 4 and set your weights accordingly.

I understand that it is not possible as method 1 currently stands, but method 4 I don't think would work either because the product in question will be sold by the hundreds, which would make option 4 overwhelming. Basically, all that I am looking to do is instead of x=0 at the beginning of the loop, x would = 100. There must be a loop somewhere in the code that I can modify to do this. In what file is the shipping actually calculated?

Sorry - it's not possible within the core plugin. Please understand that we cannot provide free support for hacks to any of the eShop scripts. Nor can we help you troubleshoot your hacks. We simply don’t have the time. The plugin is free but we have to spend most of our time trying to earn a living.

If you are a coder, all we can suggest is that you refer to the code & its comments.

As there has not been an update to this topic for a while, I can only assume that the issue has now been resolved and I am now marking it as such. If this is incorrect, please feel free to change the topic's status and/or post a followup.
