    Hi,

    I'm a bit baffled - any good ideas will be very gratefully accepted!

    I've uploaded the es_ES.mo file to wp-content/languages and have altered the wp-config file to:

    define ('WPLANG', 'es_ES');

    This returned an error message - I got rid of the error message by adding:

    define('WP_LANG_DIR', WP_CONTENT_DIR . 'wp-content/languages');

    Actually, originally I had '/wp-content/languages' but that produced an error which went away when I removed the leading forward slash.

    I've even tried putting the full url in - and I've tried it with just /languages.

    All I'm getting is the site functioning as usual, but with no translation happening.

    I uploaded the twentyten/languages/es_ES.mo file, and that appears to be translating the strings in the theme - but core WP stuff is still English.

    Any ideas? Any obvious, stupid misses?!

    Many thanks for any help...:-)

    Mire esto
    cambiando el idioma de wordpress con alojeme.com

    ¿Hizo una carpeta llamada /languages? Es un error extraño.

    Muchas gracias, alojeme!

    Si, tengo esa carpeta - y lo que veo ahora es que han sido traducidos partes del sitio (Edit en Editar y asi) - pero otros no, como 'Leave a Reply' o la pagina wp-login.php en completo.

    He checado que la traducion esta completa, y me parece que si. Raro, no?!

    OK, Como instaló WordPress, con Fantastico? ¿Que versión tiene? Hay una posibilidad de que si lo instalo de su alojamiento web, de que ellos estan usando una versión optimizada/cambiada. ¿Tiene un plugin de cache?

    Gracias otra vez...:-)

    No, lo instalé mi mismo - y es 3.0.5. No tengo un plugin de cache - hay uno deberia probar?

    Alojeme.com me parece muy bien - buena suerte con todo eso...:-)

    Según lo que dice, Cuales son los permisos que tiene en la carpeta wp-admin, content y includes? Tienen que ser 777. Es posible borrar todo y comenzar de nuevo? Me gustaría replicar esto en nuestro servidores, no se de por vencido :)
