   This is a new install. I can upload images to the media library using the browser uploader but not the flash uploader.

   When I click on "Insert image into post" I get a 404 Error. I've tried changing permissions to 777 on the upload folders to no avail

   Thanks in advance for any help...

   404 error would indicate that your upload did not complete and you couldn't get the uploading php file.

   What is the address bar URL when you get the 404 error?

   My suggestion is try a reinstall.

   The url is:
   .com/blog/wp-admin/post.php?post=1&action=edit

   The upload is in the uploads folder and it appears in the media library. I had to upload it using the browser uploader. Then I selected the image "from media library"

   Wow, very odd. So you can upload to the media library but you can't upload from the post media library?

   Or you just can't insert the image into the post?

   I can upload to the media library using the browser uploader but not the flash uploader

   Then I edit the post, select "set feature image", all of the information appears but when I click on "Insert into post" I get the error.

   Thats very different. I'm thinking it may be a host issue. Do you know if you are running PHP5?

   The only thing I can tell is:
   PHP (with GD lib and most standard PHP modules)
