    Hello,

I am using Wordfence as well as all in one security but I keep getting these error messages on Wordfence scan results:

    Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall/logs/wp-security-log.txt
    Filename: wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall/logs/wp-security-log.txt
    File type: Plugin
Issue first detected: 3 mins ago.
    Severity: Warning
    Status New
This file belongs to plugin “All In One WP Security” version “v3.7.7” and has been modified from the file that is distributed by WordPress.org for this version.

    And this one:

    Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall/logs/wp-security-log-cron-job.txt
    Filename: wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall/logs/wp-security-log-cron-job.txt
    File type: Plugin
Issue first detected: 3 mins ago.
    Severity: Warning
    Status New
This file belongs to plugin “All In One WP Security” version “v3.7.7” and has been modified from the file that is distributed by WordPress.org for this version.

    Any ideas why?>

    Thanks

    Andrew

Hi Andrew, I would not use both security plugins.

There is no need for the two to be active. I am not saying that they don’t work well together however in my humble option one should do the job. It is also a way of making sure that there is no future conflict between the two security plugins.

    Kind regards

    Thanks for the email.

I don’t have any problems using both – Wordfence is good for some things that All In One is not. I just wanted to know why this error is being reported and if there is an issue?

    Thanks

Hi Andrew those are log files and depending on what security settings you have enable these files will always change. That is why Wordfence is letting you know that the log files have changed since the last time it checked.

I would not worry about these files. The only time that you would concern yourself if any php or wordpress core files change without you carrying out any updates or major changes on the back end.

I hope this answers your question. If it does can you mark this support ticket as resolved.

    Thank you
