Errors in Theme's functions.php not getting logged.

    Any syntax errors etc that occur in my theme’s functions.php file are not getting logged (either to my apache error log or to WP’s error log.) Errors in other parts of my theme log normally.

    Debug is set to true: define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true);

    I’ve also tried the suggestions here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress

    Am I missing something?
