    Hi,

I have tried installing WordPress twice... creating a new database, username and password each time to make sure I was doing it correctly. I even copy and pasted the data in the wp-config.php file to make sure I did not make any typos.

Below is the first part of the huge error page that was created. The weird part was at the end... it said "Finished" and a password was created and emailed to me... but none of the tables were created in the database.

    Please Help...

    Thanks,

    Doug

Are you installing onto a Windows or Linux server ?

    Linux.

I have my own server (@ev1-server.net) running PHP Version 4.3.10 and MySQL version 4.0.22-standard.

I install scripts and create databases all the time... and usually do not have any problems. This is baffling me :(

    Thanks,

    Doug

Thanks guys... and thank-you for the effective question link . I will try to be a better poster :)

I have followed all those links and tried everything, but still cannot figure out how to install Word Press correctly. I keep getting the same errors. I am going to hire a php programmer and see if he can install it for me.

    Much apopreciated,

    Doug
