   Using WP 2.3.1, Unix Server
   MySQL 5.0.45-community

   Websites affected:
   http://www.greatfindsfurniture.com and http://www.techgirl.net

   The following error appears at the bottom of two different websites... unrelated apart from being hosted on the same server. I assume this is therefor a server issue (not a WordPress-specific problem), but i was hoping for more information before contacting the host.

   Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct () in Unknown on line 0

   A Google search seems to show that this is a common problem, but i have not been able to locate a clear solution... apart from the suggestion that the MySQL server requires a reboot.

   Suggestions?

   Thanks MichaelH for the link... it was pretty much as i thought (requires a MySQL reboot)... but it's always easier to get your host to do what you request if you have other sources to back up your suspicions :)
