Error when uploading pictures - how to get rid of it? (9 posts)

    Hi

I get this error in 2.6.3 every time I upload pictures:

"Warning: realpath() [function.realpath]: Unable to access /usr/home/web/web111385/blog/wp-admin/wp-content/uploads in /usr/home/web/web111385/blog/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1458
    20"

Anyone got a clue what the problem is?

I just installed this for the third time and this time in the older version and not 2.7 due to this error.

I have put all my files and folders in /blog, so my blog address and wordpress address are both:
    http://www.mydomain/blog
No files renamed in any way.

Most folders have while this is being worked out been put to 777, incl. WP-content and uploads.
I created an uploads folder and put it under wp-content.
    Under miscellaneous I have put:
    wp-content/uploads

Why do I get this error??

Help would be much appreciated! I have tried everything!

Unfortunately, This is a bit of an issue with the setup of your host..

But just checking, the uploads folder DOES exist? some setups also seem to require the wp-content directory to be set to 777 as well, Both items worth checking..

I have indeed created an uploads folder and the folder as well as wp-content are both set to 777.

I had my web hotel supplier expand the SQL database to 24mb today but it didn't change anything.

I wish there were some super user here who had the time to help out!
