    Hello, everyone.

I'm having a lot of trouble trying to install wordpress on my website. I originally tried installing it manually in the root directory of my website, but when I tried to go to "subdomain.domain.org/wp-admin/install.php" I get a URL not found error ("The requested URL /cgi-bin/php5-cgi/wp-admin/install.php was not found on this server.") I'm pretty sure I followed all the steps correctly up until that point.

I then tried to use a tool from my web host to install wordpress in a subdirectory, but when I try to go to "http://subdomain.domain.org/wordpress/" I get the same URL not found error ("The requested URL /cgi-bin/php5-cgi/glwnetwork/index.php was not found on this server.")

    Can anyone help?

If you believe everything is correct and you are not able to install WordPress, best way could be 'contact your hosting provider' for support.

The requested URL is in your cgi-bin....the root directory would be a better place to install WordPress. Did you have issues installing it in the root directory of your site?
