   My wordpress dashboard has displayed
   

   "ERROR: The themes directory is either empty or doesn’t exist. Please check your installation."

   for the last month or so.

   This error is incorrect; the themes directory is not empty and it does exist.

   I can't pinpoint what might have prompted this error, but it continues after upgrading from 3.2.1 -> 3.3 and 3.3 -> 3.3.1

   wp-config is standard and contains no non-standard values.

   What platform are you running WordPress on?

   I'm getting this same issue on a new install of WP 3.3.1 on Windows Serrver 2008 IIS 7.5, with MySql.
