    Works fine for me.
Edit: ahhh I see posts lost, data corrupted. Did you have a database backup?

    Hi there -

I also visited your blog and saw the corrupt file notices. A couple of questions:

    * How did you do the upgrade -- manually, via Fantastico, or using a plugin?
    * Did you back up your database first?
    * What hosting do you use?

    Best...

Hi WebFadds - please read the Forum Rules sticky on the front page. There's a reason your "signature" links are continually removed.

To obscure: I didnt have any backup, thats my big mistake

to WebFadds: I do it manually, I use DataKL.com as my webserver.

Right now i revert back using the 2.3.1 and start all over again from scratch.

Also, I want to know it what file all post that we write should be install. And I am not a computer geek...

The wordpress files are stored on your web server but the articles are not. They they are stored in a MySQL database, sometimes on the same server and sometimes on a different server.

Your problem is that you database is corrupted. You should have made a back-up but you didn't. You should contact your hosting company to see if they do back-ups.

    Back to the main issue.

Once again, just now I tried to install to the new version of wordpress 2.3.2. but failed. And this time the message appears like this:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/elecguit/public_html/index.php on line 1

meaning to say the same failure that I faced the first time. But this time I back up all the file thats why I can get back my blog.

I will explained a little detail so may be you guys can check it out what I did wrong.

-Download WordPress (Version 2.3.2) from http://wordpress.org/download/ to my computer and extracted the file there.
    - Using smartFTP I copy and paste to the server all the WordPress (Version 2.3.2) file that have been extracted except for wp-content folder(and whatever inside it), wp-config.php and wp-config-sample.php.
    - immediate after copy and paste completed I tried to open my blog: http://electricguitartips.net but this message appeared:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/elecguit/public_html/index.php on line 1
    -Reload my backup.

    Anyone???

I tried to copy and pasted the new files and found out that the error message appeared after I pasted the index.php. So I use back the previous index.php.

So actually what is the problem?

    Please anywone?

Additional thing! Now I manage to copy and past the wp-admin and wp-includes folder and all of its contents... but when I open my site admin this message appears:

A new version of WordPress is available! Please update now.

now which file is missing to ensure it is being upgraded to 2.3.2 version?
