• I recently updated the Simplr User Registration Form Plus plugin from 2.2.3 to 2.2.4, and since then whenever my users try to update their profiles (using the “edit my profile” link in the admin toolbar), they receive this error:

Oops! Looks like there was an error in your registration. Common errors include:

    Email is already in use
    Username too short
    Password too weak

Since its release, I upgraded to 2.2.5, but the error persists. On another site I have the same plugin installed in, I updated it from 2.2.3 straight to 2.2.5 and didn’t have this issue. The sites are configured near identical to one another.

Is there an error I have to fix in the database because of version 2.2.4? I’d rather not have to reinstall the plugin, but maybe that’s a solution too…

    Hi,

I am experiencing similar issue on a site I managed.
    The error is quite random.

I tried to check if the user email reported were in the db but it wasn’t.
Mainly it report an email already in use error.

However after the error page the registration is actually gone thru and the user registered. they just get that error on screen which can be confusing.

I do have a few custom fields and moderation is on.

It is like I said a random issue and not a road block so far.

    Any idea?

(And thanks for a great plugin! 🙂 )

This error still isn’t resolved on my site 4 months later… I have no idea what’s going on, but it’s very frustrating!!
