I did my homework before uninstalling W3TC. I disabled all the options, then deactivated and uninstalled. I checked htaccess and there was no sign of W3TC. Then I went in via FTP and removed any signs of W3TC including caches and directories.

Thankfully the front end appears to be fine, and fortunately I can log into the Dashboard. I’ve done a lot of searching and see this error causing many to not be able to get into the Dashboard.

W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /wp-content/advanced-cache.php.

BUT….I cannot see any sign of this file or any other related file. Yet it won’t go away. The only thing I can think of is maybe the server’s APC is the issue. I’m calling them now but wanted to also post for help here. Thanks.

I just wanted to check back in and say that my error went away. I’m assuming that the APC cache refreshed and all is well.
