Could you log in to your site via FTP, delete the existing Jetpack plugin folder, and reinstall the plugin manually as explained here:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation
Let me know if it helps.
Thanks for you replay.
Dident work 🙁
Give me following message:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Warning: require_once(/home/private/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/featured-content/featured-content.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/private/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/theme-tools.php on line 54
BTW… This give the same error on two different singel WP-Pages
I have also try to deactivate all them, its still ended up with same result
It seems you’re still running a corrupted version of the plugin. Could you completely delete the plugin, and install the version you can download here instead:
http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/jetpack.2.7.zip
Thanks.
No…
Same as before
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Warning: require_once(/home/private/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/featured-content/featured-content.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/private/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/theme-tools.php on line 54
Again try it on two different sites
Do you use a theme or another plugin that makes use of the Featured Content module? If so, could you try to deactivate that plugin, or switch to one of the default themes for a few minutes and let me know if it helps?
Thanks!
This not make any sence at all, I try do activate the plugin with WP-Theme “Twenty Thirteen” still not working… Deactivate ALL plugins and try to activate (theme Twenty Thirteen).
And its still give the same message
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Warning: require_once(/home/private/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/featured-content/featured-content.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/private/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/theme-tools.php on line 54
Please, any other suggestions
THANKS for your patience and help
Let’s try something else: could you download and install this version of Jetpack?
Thats worked….
Im VERY greatful
Two question:
Is this a different version?
When next update come out, can I update as normal?
Again, BIG BIG thank you for your support
This installation of Jetpack is 2.7, with a few minor tweaks I’ve done to prevent the error you has been experimenting. These tweaks will be part of the next Jetpack release, so you will be able to update!
