• Hello all:
In the lower left corner I keep receiving an ‘error on page’ icon when I view my blog. The funny thing is that the webpage shows up correctly on my PC but on my laptop it shows up incorrectly. On the laptop my nav bar blocks my title and my adsense ad but on my PC it’s in the correct place. When I click the icon for more info it says it’s missing an object. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can correct this. Thanks in advance!

I am not sure about that…I am pretty much teaching myself as I go along like righting html codes to actually place my ads in the places I wanted and to get mty theme to look like I wanted. If u could be so kind to elaborate I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks a bunch!

Can you give a link to your site so we can check what’s happening?

In the lower left corner I keep receiving an ‘error on page’ icon when I view my blog.

The error is related to the “FV Community News” plugin and the Prototype JavaScript library it uses. But this error doesn’t show up on the original theme you used ( http://seo.redevolution.com/?wptheme=redevo_beep_green ), so there’s definitely something going on at your end. You can (temporarily) disable this plugin and see if the error disappears.

You’re seeing different things because you’re either using different browsers on the two computers, or even different versions of the same browser. (This is not your problem though, it merely explains the “mystery”)

I checked your site in Internet Explorer versions 6 and 7, and it looked “OK”. But it doesn’t look ok in Internet Explorer 8, Google Chrome, Firefox (Windows, Mac & Ubuntu Linux) and Safari (Windows & Mac).

Once again, the original theme you used for your site has no problem, so it’s likely you’ve broken something in the course of customizing the theme.

Unfortunately I’m not smart enough (he he!) to know of any magic wand to fix it. You can try reverting the theme to the original, and then start your customization over again. Keep testing (on both computers) as you make changes. This way you can isolate what’s really causing this to happen, at which point it’ll be easier for someone to offer a fix.
