Error occurred: 403 - forbidden accessing style sheet (5 posts)

  1. I have been working on a new theme for a while now and have been running it on a test server. Everything works fine. Now I am almost ready to move it to my other server and did some preliminary testing today.

Everything fails, or at least the style sheet fails to load, for everything shows up in the default, plain html view.

If I go to view source and click on the style sheet url (which I've triple checked and is correct) I receive and 403: Forbidden error trying to access it.

I have gone in and checked the permissions, and even when set to 777 it still fails.

I was curious whether it was just the style sheet that wasn't being accessible, or if it was all files. It turns out that all other files can be accessed perfectly fine. For example, if I try to view one of my jquery source files from the Firefox view-source window, it works fine.

    Ideas?

  3. http://pippinspages.com/

I have also tried other themes and they work perfectly fine.

Could be a server issue. Or something bizarre within those css files. wp-content/plugins/wp125/wp125.css for example is accessible.

  5. I fixed it. There was something in the .htaccess file screwing everything up.
