error messages
-
I’ve installed WordPress through godaddy and uninstalled it numerous times and continue to get error messages. I started out using their “managed” hosting and now am using their “shared” hosting. When I switched to “shared” hosting, I started having problems. Occasionally, I can’t log in; once I’m in and try to go to settings, themes, post, other areas, I get a “404 error”, internal error, or “oops page”, etc. I used an approved theme from the WordPress site, Ranunculus. Even when I use a theme already displayed on my dashboard, I have problems. I have not installed any extra plugins. I’m ready to give up and go back to blogger. Any suggestions?

Have you discussed the issue with your hosting provider?
I have not installed any extra plugins.
Have you tried disabling/resetting to see if there is bad one among the existing plugins in your plugin directory?
I’ve been on the phone with them for hours yesterday and today. They give me suggestions, I try them, and nothing works. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled all the plug-ins (have not added any of my own). I’ve used the original theme and other themes, but they all give me the same problems. They suggested I purchase SiteLock which scans the site for any problems, and that hasn’t helped either. 🙂 Thanks.
I only use WordPress approved themes.
Based on all the steps you have taken so far, looks server specific issue.
As you know their millions of happy users of WP.
So, its most like a server specific issue.I would love to be one of the happy users, lol. I love WP. I just can’t get it to behave. When you say server specific, are you speaking of WP servers or my local server?
are you speaking of WP servers or my local server?
Your OP mentions about “godaddy”. So I assume “godaddy” is your webhost.
Now in this latest reply you mentioned “my local server”!
So, to clarify, is your WP site on a “godaddy” server or a “local server”?
Godaddy is my webhost. I installed WP through godaddy.
Godaddy is my webhost. I installed WP through godaddy.
Then contact godady, and find out what’s going on with their server you have your WP on.
