Hi,
I seems like your website is not allowed to contact other sites via file_get_contents method.
I used cUrl function before and it is mostly blocked by hosting sites.
Please contact your hosting support and ask them to solve this issue.
You have to edit your php.ini settings.
It still looks like it adds it to the local database, just not the ip-finder.me db, correct?
I checked my php.ini settings, and allow_url_fopen is set to On. Should this do it?

I edited my comment while you were posting – allow_url_fopen is set to On, but I’m still getting the error message.

I’ve got another wordpress installation with a separate account that also uses this extension, and it doesn’t get the error message. I’m assuming they are on different servers though.

Hi,
If you have two accounts then chances are they are on different servers and if you have bought one cheaper than other then I am pretty sure they have disabled this option on server side. changing php.ini wont even work.
I am sorry I could not help at the moment but I will add a feature to turn on or off the sharing function with ip-finder.me

Hello again,
After looking into weekly data, it shows that blacklisted IPs are going down from 3000 till 4 or 5. I tested with other hosting accounts and I am getting 406 response. I believe it is due to changes made by my hosting company. and all the sites are not being able to connect to my website DB and my site is throwing 406 response.
Give me a day or two in resolving this issue from server side then I will provide new version with fixes.

I just uploaded version 2.91 with quick fix for 406 issue.
It will be available on your sites in admin panel for update soon. 🙂
