Support » Networking WordPress » Error message upon login (Permission to view site)

  • Hi guys, we have just upgraded to WP 3.0, all went smoothly and got the network running okay.

However, when we reactivated our plugins, the whole site went blank. We managed to restore the actual www. but now upon login to the WP Admin we get the following error:

“You don’t have permission to view this site. Please contact the system administrator.”

Meaning we cannot access the WP admin.

That message only appears once logged in (if not logged in, the login page loads fine).

Having googled the issue it seems this has happened before in MU but I havent been able to find a solution with 3.0.

    Really appreciate any help.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Blanks page = errors. The fact you activated all the plugins and got this, means it’s one of the plugins.

Rename the plugin folder to disable them all again so you can get back in. Activate them one at a time. this will narrow down exactly which one it is, and you can remove it.

Thanks. We’ve sorted this now but have other problems!
