    Hi,
I'm trying to make a child theme and don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I get 'The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.' even though I can acces the child themes: style.css from a browser. http://digitaltales.dk/wp-content/themes/digitaltales/digitaltales.css . I'm running WordPress 3.5.1.

    Have you reviewed Child Themes?

Yes, I've followed this tutorial http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes and also this Lynda course http://www.lynda.com/WordPress-3-0-tutorials/WordPress-3-Building-Child-Themes/77859-2.html. I think I'm going crazy finding this error - I'll bet it's really obvious I just can't figure it out.

From the "header" of style.css you posted above.

It's clear that you are putting the wrong template name, the template is the parent's, not child itself.

But what should it be instead? I'm not sure I understand :(

What is the name of the parent's folder in wp-content/themes?

    Bodega (http://www.wpexplorer.com/bodega-wordpress-theme/)

This is how it looks via Filezilla:

    /digitaltales.dk/wp-content/themes/Bodega

ahh, it turns out that Bodega is a commercial theme.

    AND

Child theme is using same name as parent's.

I've tried with a capital D like you suggested and a small d because according to the tutorial( http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes) it's case sensitive.

    But it's not working anyhow.

Theme Name could be Digitaltales or digitaltales, it's up to you.

Make sure child theme doesn't use same name as parent's.
