    Hi all,

Help- I'm brand new to WordPress.org and I've never done any blogging or web site design. Here's the problem: when logging on to my site, http://www.stagingspacesnj.com
I get the following error message:
    Page not found-
Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.
    (the search bar is displayed)

But, once I'm on the page with the error message, the links at the top still work.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks so much!
    Susan

This is because WordPress in trying to show your most recent posts, of which there are none.

You probably want to make 'Home' a static front page as outlined here:

No that's not it. She does have posts on the site but she has set a static page as homepage, problem the page doesn't exist (anymore). Go to dashboard > settings > reading and check 'your latest post' and hit save. If you do want to have a static page as homepage make sure the page exists.
