• I recently installed a new WordPress blog for our block watch, installed the theme (Weaver 2.2.6 – Kitchen Sink), changed the colors and made a few posts. Everything seemed to be working fine. But a few days later, I tried to log in with Firefox and I got this message:

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/webnuts/public_html/Excessive_Forces/wp-content/themes/weaver/functions.php:1130) in /home/webnuts/public_html/Excessive_Forces/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 737

That is all that shows up on the wp-admin page.

The strange part: When I tried to access the blog with Internet Explorer, it all works fine. I am able to log in and do everything I should be able to do. I checked using Safari, and all I got was the error message again.

This error only happens when I log into the admin (wp-admin) area, the main blog looks fine.

I have not logged out using IE for fear I will not be able to get back in.

Any ideas on what is causing this error?

You have either a theme or plugin error that’s causing PHP to hiccup. Interesting that IE lets you in…

I would guess it’s your theme (since it says headers already sent by (output started at /home/webnuts/public_html/Excessive_Forces/wp-content/themes/weaver/functions.php:1130) ) – Can you switch to a different theme to test?

Ipstenu, now I feel stupid LOL – I deactivated the plugins before, but didn’t drop the theme, I just tried it, and was able to log in to wp-admin, I then switched back to my personalized theme, and everything is working as it should once again. Thanks a lot, it was driving me nuts. I think I’ll leave it alone now 🙂
