Error message on install

    I tried to install WP but when I try to go to wp-admin/install I get this message:

    Warning: main(/usr/www/virtual/fdsign/www.***.com/wp-includes/wp-db.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/www/virtual/fdsign/www.queerer.com/wp-settings.php on line 73

    Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required ‘/usr/www/virtual/fdsign/www.***.com/wp-includes/wp-db.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /usr/www/virtual/fdsign/www.***.com/wp-settings.php on line 73

    Any hint? Should I change something in wp-settings? I checked user, pw and even if I’m within the dreaded 1% not at “localhost”, but everything is fine. Is there a place where I need to put where MySQL server is? I mean because I have that info, but WP doesn’t ask me for it. Anyway, thanx in advance 🙂

    additionally, is there a need to set permissions, like most perl programs?

    Assuming Apache/Linux – permissions need to be 755 on folders and 644 on files.

    have you tried uploading teh files again to your site?

    http://www.queerer.com/wp-admin/install.php did result in the aboe errors . in the times i have encountered this .. i re-uped the files and it solved my problems .. might work for you.
