[resolved] Error in uploads and Blank (empty?) media library for posts (6 posts)

    Hello,

Under WP 3.5.1, I am having the following issues uploading files:

When adding images to posts using any method (drag and drop or browsing), after selecting the file, this error appears after a couple of seconds:

"Error <filename>.jpg An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later."

oddly enough, the files ARE uploaded and can be seen if I access the Media library from the right-hand pane.

I am not sure if it is connected, but another issue is that I can not use the media library to add images to posts, as they do not show up: the media library is a blank, white screen.

I have tried almost everything: all plugins were deactivated, the theme was set to default, debug mode was turned on from the wp_config file [no errors were shown]. I would greatly appreciate any help I could receive.

    Thank you!

    OK this is fixed:

On a hunch, I replaced all files in the wp-admin and wp-includes from a new base wordpress zip file. Apparently my installation was affected by the update from 3.5 to 3.51.

It appears I spoke too soon.

I opened a blog post page right now and the media library is blank again!
    What gives?

I'm having the same issue! I tried redownloading the wp update. That didn't work. I used a plugin called faster image insert, but now that is blank as well. Nothing is in the media library when I access it in a blog post.

Ok, so I seemed to have fixed the issue. Deactivated all plugins, then updated WP again. After reactivating all plugins it still works. Faster Image Insert plugin is still blank tho.

I hope that you have been able to fix this as well, farazfp.

    Thank you Joe81,

the problem seemed to be with the host I was using. I am not sure what parameter was the culprit, but after switching, everything is fine now. Thanks again.
