error in file wordfenceClass.php | WordPress.org

Today I was not able to see the WP Admin after I logged in. I looked at the error log on my server and saw this:

mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init() in /home/watertest/watertestingnj.com/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wordfenceClass.php on line 664, referer: http://watertestingnj.com/wp-login.php

Then I looked at that php file and saw this:

‘$curl = curl_init(‘http://noc3.wordfence.com:9050/hackAttempt/?k=’ . wfConfig::get(‘apiKey’) . ‘&IP=’ . wfUtils::inet_aton($IP) . ‘&t=’ . $type );’

No idea what to do and how to clear the error so the WP admin appears, Help.

When I go to the WP site in question I can login as normal. Once the login is successful the next thing you would see is the WP Dashboard and that’s where the problem is. The Dashboard is not showing up. All I see is a blank page. I looked at my server error logs and it tells me that there’s a problem on line 664.

I’m not a programmer so I have no idea what I’m looking at.

I grabbed the same file from another WP that’s not having the same problem. Comparing line 664 in both php files are exactly the same but like I said the other site isn’t having a problem.

I really have no idea what to do as I can’t see the WP Dashboard after I login as WP isn’t showing it to me so I can’t even do anything.

Hi Scott, just updating and closing this with your solution that you installed Curl on the specific virtual host/domain.
