Error In Description Tag

    I notice when a post from my blog displays in google search results that the description beneath the title is garbled and makes no sense. It seems this is pulled directly from the description tag on the page html. Does anyone know how this error occurs and how it may be corrected?

    Does your site use a tabled layout? Is is valid? Have you checked the meta-description tag in the page source for your posts? All of these can impact upon whether search engines index your posts/pages effectively.

    Have you tried viewing your posts with a text-only browser or with CSS disabled? It might give you a very good idea of how Google “sees” your posts.
