the code snippet on page http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Feeds did not work for me. I am using WP 1.5.1.2 . The code halfway down the page says:
    '

  2. " title="<?php _e('Syndicate this site using RSS'); ?>"><?php _e('RSS'); ?>
  3. '
But the php function bloginfo returns the 'feed:' part, so the URL is then wrong. I removed feed: and it worked.

This is a problem, since i relied on the docs, and had to debug it without wanting to get into that much detail..

Thats weird cause I had the same problem today with my theme. I clicked on the feed and I noticed it was feed://domain.com/...

The documentation needs to be updated to mention the use of the feed: URI declaration.

ok, my bad. The feed: part was not supplied by bloginfo(), it was the static text. I sent a URL/URI in the form of

feed:http://xxx to RSSValidator, and it worked. SO I was confused. I took _out_ the static feed:, and it worked again. hmmm.. I don't want to know the details about this, but it is necessary to add an RSS button... What's the story here?
