[resolved] Error in Adding all total numbers in a single column using formula SUM (7 posts)

    Hi,

I have set up a table for one of my project in http://sg.propertylaunchnetwork.com/hausserangoongarden under the tab named UNIT TYPES & FLOOR PLANS. Using the formula =SUM(G2:G27) at the footer besdie the label "Total Units". The table indicates 1557 for the total units. In actual fact, there's only total units of 97. How do I resolve this issue?

    Hi,

thanks for your bug report, and sorry for the trouble! I can reproduce this on my site.
This seems to be a bug in the code, which I will now try to find and fix. I'll post an update here once I found the solution!

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

just a short update: I have identified the bug that causes this. Basically, as some technical detail, during the evaluation of the formulas, when the cells get replaced with their values, the cells G20 through G27 get replaced with the value of G2 plus the remaining digit appended.
Now, I'll just have to find a solution to work around this...

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

thanks for being so patient. As mentioned, I found the issue yesterday and was able to find a fix today. In my tests, it worked very well.
I would be very happy if you could test this fix as well.
To do this, please replace the file "classes/class-render.php" in the "tablepress" folder on your site with the file from https://raw.github.com/TobiasBg/TablePress/master/classes/class-render.php
The sum calculation in your table should then work as expected.

Again, thanks a lot for finding this bug!

    Regards,
    Tobias
