Hello, I just purchased my domain name, have hosting through DreamHost and have been trying to one-click-install WP onto my website. It says it is complete and ready to go but when I go to view my website I get the Site temporarily unavailable error id "bad_httpd_conf" message. I have NO clue as to how to fix this. Any one know what this is caused from and how to fix it?

bad wolf-- Sorry, bad_httpd_conf is a super special error we made up ourselves so you could easily google it :)

    http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Bad_httpd_conf

Basically it's our server saying "Hey, something isn't quite right yet, someone put down the big mac and bump the stereo."

Go to https://panel.dreamhost.com and under Domains -> Manage Domains, click on edit for domain that has "bad httpd conf" error. There's no need to change anything on it, you can simply save by pressing "Change settings". Then wait up to 10 minutes to see if the problem is solved. With this solution you've simply rebuilt the httpd configuration file.

If that doesn't work, open a ticket and tell us you have a bad_httpd_conf error :)
