• I have set up a new blog and got through sever processes of elimination to find out why my URL can’t be burned through feedburner. Here is what I got:
    From: http://bonfiresocialmedia.com/feed/
Error getting URL: 404 – Not Found

and after trying to validate I get this:

    Sorry

    This feed does not validate.

Server returned HTTP Error 404: Not Found [help]

In addition, interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations.

line 57, column 0: content:encoded should not contain onclick attribute (61 occurrences) [help]

  • Are you still seeing this problem? Your feed appears to be working correctly now…

    unfortunately I am. 🙁

What happens if you disable the plugin Google Analytics for WordPress?

I see the problem (but don’t know how to fix it):

Your server is spitting out an HTTP-404-Not Found response, but still sending the feed content. So most automated systems (like feedvalidator and feedburner) see the 404 and stop there. But in a browser, the browser thinks it is displaying a 404 error page so it shows the feed content.

I would recommend disabling all plugins first, and go from there.

Yeah, I’m noticing that too. Digg and Stumbleupon show the 404 as well. it’s really weird. i disabled all my plugins 5 days ago to fix a comment problem and I really don’t want to do it again if i don’t have to. could it be something with my godaddy hosting? just checking before i got nuclear with the plugins

Thanks everyone for the insight. this one is stumping me.

I did try to disable the analytics and nothing. might need to wait for it to cache
