I got the error establishing database on my site and after reading some on the forums I did the fix :phpmyadmin etc.

And then I went back to my site....and every single post from the last 6 years disappeared.

Any suggestions PLEASE? This on top of getting hit with spyware on another computer makes for a very, very bad tech week.

my site is: http://www.thebloggingmama.com I use bluehost and recently had my site redone by a graphic designer. It was working fine this morning when I put up a post and now everything is missing.

Did you make a backup of your database before editing it?

Ahem, of course (not). The thing is, in my dashboard I can see 6,273 comments on 0 posts which makes no sense. So the posts have to be hidden or something somehow right? All the pages are gone too.

It does sound as if you've damaged the database, I'm afraid. You should never edit anything in the database without making a backup first. If you do not have a recent database backup, contact your hosts asap in case they have one.

I didn't edit anything though. I just selected 'repair' as others advised. I didn't touch any of the files or code (I have zero tech skills).

How would the comments exist without the posts?

What does 'submit for review' mean when trying to publish a post? Now I can't even publish a post on my own blog??

It just confirms that your database is damaged. You no longer have full Admin access.

You need to restore a database backup.

See if BlueHost has a backup you can restore from.
