Error establishing a database connection (byethost)

    Hi there again.

    Listen, Did you guys had major problems with trying to install wordpress by using byethost? If so, how did you guys solve it? I’m trying to install wordpress through the site but i can’t get it to be fully installed due to the old installation error that says, “Error establishing a database connection.”

    Can anyone tell me how am I going to solve this? After all I do have a database and I’ve tried to put in the right usernames and passwords on it, but that never work out.

    Can anyone help me on this?

    Never mind!! I got it now!! The problem was that I didn’t put the actual host name in the right place! I was a little confused with the host name because of what I saw in your tutorials about the wordpress installation video. I thought it said to leave the ‘localhost’ in the host name bar, so I left it there. That was the cause of the error! Not putting in my actual host name address was the cause of the database error! And now I got it licked! And look! I have a wordpress site now! 🙂
