    I have had WordPress downloaded and running fine on my localhost/**/wp-admin fine and then I restarted my computer and I am getting the "Error establishing a database connection". I have gone over the wp-cinfig.php and made sure that all of the database information is correct. (I believe so at least.)

    define('DB_NAME', 'wordpress');

    define('DB_USER', 'root');

    define('DB_PASSWORD', 'xxx');

    define('DB_HOST', 'localhost');

    I do not know what else to try. If anyone can help me, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    check If your database server is also running smoothly. This should not have a problem unless you have some changes in the Database details.

    Got it fixed. For some reason my 'MySql' database was deactivated. Thank you for the help.
