installed wordpress for my domain few months back
now i bought new domain and installed wordpress into this domain. (same hosting account but created new db)
changed all the connection strings including the table prefix
    everything is fine
but when i was running install.php file, the following page is shown. can anyone pls help.

    Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host's database server is down.

    * Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    * Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    * Are you sure that the database server is running?

If you're unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

And what are your answers to the 3 questions in the error message? 200% sure you have them correct?

Has the user ALL the privileges? Was the user added to the database?

You should have started with the godaddy... or search before posting!
Are you on a Windows server or Unix? If Windows, ask them to switch you Unix.

    No you didn't search...
At least, not for "godaddy". This comes up first for that keyword: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/90720?replies=13
And in the very first lines it says the DB HOST is never "localhost" as it is in your config file.
Next time do your homework before posting.
