   Hi guys,

   My site has been online for about a month now, but recently, I keep getting an error when I try to access the WP admin page and my blog.

   The error message reads:

   Error establishing a database connection

   This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at mysql.9tin20.com. This could mean your host's database server is down.

   Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
   Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
   Are you sure that the database server is running?

   Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue?

   Pls advise.

   Have you checked with your host to see if that MySQL server is running properly?

   Yes I did. They kept saying it has nothing to do with their SQL server. And instead told me to remove the Extended Live Archive plugin. It doesn't seem to make sense though since there are others who are using this plugin on the same host but without any problems.

   Sounds more like the host is restoring (probably) old backups due to problems on their end. You might want to get a bit more proactive with them....
