   Hi all

   I would like to install wordpress locally in m windows. I installed Wamp and extracted the latest wordpress to 'www' folder. Created database named wordpress in phpmyadmin. Configured the wp-config-sample file as follows:

   Changed the user_db parameter as wordpress

   user_name parameter as root

   user_pw parameter as root.

   Saved this fiile as wp-config.php

   now when I tried to access http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php it shows error as

   "Error accessing the database connection'.

   Please help!!!!

   honestly I always struggled with wamp
   now I use this exclusively
   http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/xampp/
