error 500

    I am new to wordpress.
    Not sure what version I’m using, but I keep getting error 500 message whenever I try to activate share and follow plugin. When I try to upload widgets using WP I get a blank screen. So I upload it with Filezilla, but then I get error 500 when I try to activate. This has happened for more than one plugin.

    help someone, I feel I am in over my head

    You could simply be trying to install plugins that are not compatible with WP 2.9.2. Always check a plugin’s documentation to see if it is compatible with your version of WordPress before installing it.
