Error 404: NOT FOUND!

Please help! I have spent all day trying to upload my wp site to filezilla, finally got it all worked out. Now when I go http://mysite.com/wp-admin/install.php – I get a 404 error not found! I changed all of my sql info in the wp-config.php directory and I have the domain hosted on 1and1.com – What am I forgetting or missing? Do I have to wait for the domain to work? I read somewhere about it taking 24 hrs for a new domain to show up?

Any help is appreciated. I’ve done plenty of basic php and html editing, and I thought I was pretty good at this stuff, but somehow I can’t figure out this “simple” process.
