Hi,
Every time I create a new page I am getting an Error 404 message saying this page doesn't exist.
When I create a draft of the page and preview it, it works. However, as soon as I publish the page I get the error message.
If I edit an existing page,I have no problem. This only occurs when trying to make a new page.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

any thoughts? I read on some other forums that putting the permalinks back to its default setting and then switching it back might fix it.
I'm afraid to try this because I dont want to mess with the URL's of posts that have already been published. Certain posts I have written have been linked from other sites and I could lose out on traffic if I do that.
If I tried resetting the permalinks would that affect posts that are already published?
I've been trying to figure this problem out for months. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
