A scan of your site shows: 302 Moved Temporarily – Redirect loop detected (max_redirect = 7)
It seems it can be a case of someone having got entry into your site, if you did not use 302 redirects – similar to hacking, but security scanners will not show it.

actually i was logged in and installing a plug in. While i returned to my plugins page, the web browser displayed that it couldn’t display the page, and its been that way ever since. IS there any way to resolve it?
Which was that plugin? Do you have a backup of your site?

ajax buddypress chat. After the plugin installed i clicked on the activate plug in link. Nothing happened, so i tried going to the plugins page and then the browser couldn’t display the page. And unfortunately i do not have a backup of my site as i was just developing it.

And I do not find anything in your site, excepting 302 redirect. It can be a case of hacking, defacement, etc.
I do not think you will get any useful advice excepting to cleanup your site and reinstall everything afresh.
It will perhaps help, if you contact your host for support.
