    Hi Craig,

Looks like it could be something to do with your maintenance mode.

How long before you're ready to launch your site do you think?

    Thanks,

    David

Thanks for that, it gave me the opportunity to investigate.

Could you try something for me please:

Uncheck the 'Open link in new window' option under the advanced tab, and see if this resolves it for you? Seems to only affect Facebook for some reason.

    Thanks,

    David

    Hi Craig,

    Have another try :)

I entered your page's URL into the Facebook debugger tool and hey presto!

    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

If you have the same trouble with any others simple use this tool and all should be well.

    Thanks,

    David

    hey

what exactly did you do when you put the url into https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

i am adding new test posts and am now getting the same issue but not sure how exactly to action the results from the debugger?!

    thanks

    Hi,

Basically you just need to copy the URL of the post or page you're having trouble with, paste it into the text field on the Facebook debug page and click 'Debug'.

Unfortunately it seems Facebook havet figured out a way to decipher shares of some formatted URLs, either that or they're trying to encourage people to just use their own share buttons!

If you have any trouble let me know and I'll debug a few for you.

    Thanks,

    David

for example the page http://www.coolkaboodle.com/food-and-drink/testing-the-posts-number-2/ is saying

    Errors that must be fixed

More Than One OG URL Specified Object at URL 'http://www.coolkaboodle.com/food-and-drink/testing-the-posts-number-2/' of type 'article' is invalid because it specifies multiple 'og:url' values: http://www.coolkaboodle.com/food-and-drink/testing-the-posts-number-2/, http://www.coolkaboodle.com/food-and-drink/testing-the-posts-number-2/.

i deleted the other test posts and these are newly formatted test posts but the plugins are the same as when you made it work before!!

i want to keep the "like" button and the facebook comments plugin....

    hmmmm im lost agin!!! :(

OK, fixed it - it was the YOAST SEO plugin - i de-selected for it adding Add OpenGraph meta data and now works....

    thanks for your help :)
