• I recently installed your plugin after testing it out on a fake blog using the same theme. It worked perfectly in my test run but I’ve had problems since installing it to my real blog.

First of all, I can’t easily link posts that are translations of each other. When I click the giant translation post button while editing the original post, it sends me to “Page not found”. The same thing happens if I click the + symbol on my list of posts. The only way I can get translations to sync up is to write both posts completely separately then edit one, selecting it as a translation of the other post from the drop down menu on the right.

The other major problem, possibly related, is that what shows up when selecting one language or another is erratic. I have it set to automatically redirect to the language of the browser in which case I end up seeing the complete French version when I visit (which is correct) but if I click the English button I get redirected to the second to last post in English. If I then select home, it sends me to the French home page instead of the English one.

I tried changing the setting so that the site does not automatically redirect someone based on their browser’s language but that was even more unpredictable. I would simply get the full English version of the site (which is the original version of the site) but, when I try to switch to French, I’m redirected to an old post that isn’t in French at all nor is it marked as a French post.

This is pretty disheartening since everything worked perfectly in my test run. Here’s the link to my blog, which is currently set to: “Automatically redirects the browser depending on the user’s language.”

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

NOTE: I should also note that switching language works fine if I’m logged in and just use the WordPress language buttons on the top of the screen. Clicking on the flags that appear in the corner of each post also allows me to see either language but those flags sometimes appear and sometimes don’t. The language switcher widget is always a problem, though, as I described above.

For the page not found problem, I’m taken here when I click the + symbol from my list of posts:

    http://www.joshmcneill.com/wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=post&link-to=653&page-lang=2

And I’m taken here when I click the add translation button on the right while editing a post:

    http://www.joshmcneill.com/wp-admin/post-new.php?link-to=653&post-lang=2&post_type=post

As for the language switcher widget, uh, I think that update may have created a bigger problem. I just updated and now have no access to my blog. I’m sent to a page with the following error:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home4/josh8211/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/ceceppa-multilingua/ceceppaml.php on line 2207

I disabled the plugin and my blog is now accessible again. Even the admin access became inaccessible after I logged out. I could get back to the login screen but it would tell me that I needed to enable cookies (which are definitely enabled) even if I tried in various other browsers.

I doubt this is due to interactions with other plugins but just in case, I only have installed Askimet, Disable New User Notifications, Simple Facebook Connect, Sociable, and Twitter Widget Pro.
