  • It seems on my stock 1.5.1 installation that if I don’t enter a title to a post then the ‘comments’ link doesn’t work.

As an example please see the following entry:

    http://blog.steve.org.uk/index.php/archives/2005/05/12//#comments

Note the double ‘//’ section – where a title for the post would ordinarily be.

It’s not a big irritation, but I figured it’s worth reporting. (Of course if I’ve made a configuration mistake this should be obvious with a little testing and I’d appreciate a friendly flame!)

  • What if you manually enter a postslug? Since you have no title to create the slug from, you can’t ever get to the full permalink page, so you would need something in there, to differentiate it from the daily archive page.

If you don’t want enter post titles (not sure why you’d NOT want to), then if you disable permalinks, you will get links that look like:

    yoursite.com/?p=<post id>

    which will work without titles.

    Regards
