So last night I went in to my manage templates section to try to add a template with the "Digg This" option. I thought it was odd that it wouldn't save my template, but that kind of paled in comparison when I noticed that every single post (nearly 2000 posts, to be exact) were gone.
Just that like, missing. I did not do any updates, no install any new plugins. Like I said, all I did was try to save a new template and this happened.
Does anyone have ANY idea why this happened, or if there's any way to recover all my content???
Thanks!
Use phpMyAdmin and go into the database wp_posts table to confirm whether your posts are in fact gone. If not familiar, log into your web hosting control panel and under databases find phpMyAdmin.
If the posts are in fact gone ( not too likely) contact your webhost to see if you can get a database backup copy.
Hi,
I suggest you that whenever you do anything new with your blog..do a practice to take a backup first..please check the database for the posts and restore it from the backup if required...
Thanks,
