[resolved] Enter code for 'TM' in tagline (4 posts)

How do I insert the code for the TM symbol (™) in the tagline under General Settings? The web admin page clearly won't take it, so I'm thinking I have to enter it manually in bloginfo('description'). But I've poked around a lot and can't see where I can do that.

(ps--I think I'm at the mercy of my server host regarding the old version of WordPress.)

    Thanks

I'm not sure myself, now you ask. Depending on the character set you choose, maybe results vary.

My first shot would be this. :)

    ™

Just worked perfectly on my site, and I'm running UTF-8, very plain vanilla.

I'm guessing that you may be pasting a trademark symbol from Word or a Mac or something?

    Good luck, Dave

    Thanks.

    That worked.

    I had tried using

and it just copied the actual letters and numbers. Of course maybe I made some other mistake in entering it. It worked fine in the title of this post, tho.

I give up. I just spent 20 minutes trying to show the actual code I had used and this stupid editor insists on interpreting it with the symbol regardless of how I try to wrap it in backticks or whatever.
