    Hi –

    Cool-Video-Gallery is awesome so far, definitely the easiest plugin for this that I’ve found to install and use.

    However, I’m running into an issue where I can’t get any thumbnails to display at all. My host has shell access, but it doesn’t appear to have FFMPEG installed at all, and I attempted to compile from binary but I was unable to (no root).

    The error I get when trying to upload a thumbnail is:
    Error, the file permissions could not set

    However, the file DOES get uploaded.

    Example:
    My video is named: Ankle_Fusion-_CHICAGO_-ILLINOIS.mov
    My upload thumb is named: thumbs_Ankle_Fusion-_CHICAGO_-ILLINOIS_preview.png

    Permissions on all folders mentioned in previous posts are all 777 (which seems a bit risky to me). Permissions on the thumbnail image itself are 666. I’ve attempted changing permissions on the thumbnail but it had no effect.

    Any idea how I can use a thumbnail with this, without having FFMEPG installed?

    Nevermind… I decided to just hardcode the videos and thumbnails like so:

    <img src=”/Videos/thumbs/vid1.png” style=”width:400px;height:251px; ” alt=”Click to Watch Video”>
