   Hey guys.

   Just looking for any way to enable html in excerpts, ideally without a big ole plugin that I don't really want!

   Isn't there something I can add to functions.php?

   Try using the optional excerpt in each Post page.

   But doesn't that automatically strip html?

   Amazing, it works. I assumed it was only working because I had an advanced excerpt plugin installed.

   In the Post -> Add New/Edit Post page. If you do not see this pane, click Screen Options at the very top of the page and check "Excerpt".
